Petting Barn

From the joy of children holding the small animals, to someone picking out a pet, to another finding that special 4-H project, the Pet Barn holds something enjoyable for people of all ages.  Exhibitors may choose to simply show their animals or to sell them.  A variety of animals are available, including:  dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, chickens, ducks, calves, lambs, goats, rabbits, and also more exotic types.

Volunteers are most welcome.  The barn uses 2-3 adults and 4-5 juniors every year.  People with animal experience are preferred.  Anyone wishing to volunteer or exhibit should contact Roberta Scantling at (712) 260-6612 or rlspets@inbox.com in advance.  All exhibitors need to be aware of the testing and vaccination requirements for their animal(s).
